1. Ai ye (mugwort) 艾叶 30g
2. ground cloves 30g
3. cinnamon twigs (not bark), 桂枝 30g
4. Fresh ginger 30g
Mix with an equal portion salt and put into a cloth bag. Warm it in a wok or microwave. Place it on the lower abdomen. The essential oils within these herbs become heated and and transfer into the body through the skin. The heat is also important calming nerves and relaxing smooth muscle contractions.
